My name is Stijn van der Knaap, i am an independent illustrator and artist. I have studied illustration at ArtEZ University of the Arts. In wich i have progressed, learned about and formed my passion for creating.
The focus of my personal works have been the speculation and creation of fictional worlds. This subject has been the main throughline of my creations in the last 2 years. Right now i am mainly experimenting with pixel art.
My artistic process is mainly lead by my own interests and hyperfixations. This means i am always looking for something new to lock onto with my work. For an example, hyperfixations like this have lead to me creating my school finals work Koinos.
I myself see it as both a gift and a curse as it can make me focus on something for months, and at the same time not be able to find my niche for long periods of time. Luckily this hasnt discouraged me from persueing my passions.
